Last night, (15 March) we had a very busy night as I made presentations at both Maryland House of Delegates LaToya Nkongolo’s Fundraiser, and at the Severna Park Republican Women’s Club’s March Meeting. I had a great time and met some really outstanding people.
On the night of March 10th, I attended the North County Republican Club’s March Meeting in Pasadena, MD. We had an exciting group of speakers, led by Gubernatorial Candidate Dan Cox. After the speakers, a lady from the audience asked “why kid’s after school sports are no longer funded in Anne Arundel County.”
“Lieutenant Colonel (Ret) Flowers has the character, drive, and intelligence to continue to serve his nation and community as he did while in the Air Force. As a fellow Airmen and Delegate in the Maryland General Assembly, I know he will represent us all well in DC”.
I thought that I might update you on my campaign for Congress. Things are going well. I am out and about most nights, speaking to local groups. My reception has been very positive and I am thankful for that. People are accessing our website and our social media accounts. Most of all, I am glad that I retired from DoD. If we are going to make positive changes in our local area, I feel that change had to start with “ME”. I have willingly embraced that task and I am working to help improve the lives of my fellow Marylander’s.
Senator Scott’s 11-Point Plan To ‘Rescue America is exactly the kind of pragmatic and dynamic action plan that we will support if elected. When I say that changes must be made, this is what I mean. We must change the status quo, NOW, while we still can!!!
Mr. Bernard “Berney” Flowers is running for Congress in Maryland’s 2nd Congressional District. With a career that spans over 33 years of combined experience in the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the private sector, Berney brings a wealth of expertise to bear. He served nearly 21 years on active duty in the US Air Force, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. During his Air Force career, Berney deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan, and “visited” twenty – two countries and forty-three states in the performance of his duties. He was also assigned to the US Air Force’s “Air Staff” when the Pentagon was attacked on Sept 11, 2001. After retiring from active duty Berney worked at United Services Automobile Association (USAA) as a Project Manager, leading matrixed teams in the development and implementation of computer software deliverables supporting the release of financial products and services worth nearly $50 million. In 2009, he returned to DoD as a civilian employee, where he served as part of US Cyber Command’s initial staff and as NORAD & USNORTHCOM’s (United States Northern Command) Sr. Advisor to Ft Meade. Most recently, he served as NORAD & USNORTHCOM’s Sr. Advisor to the DHS.
No one appears to have been in charge at Black Lives Matter for months. The address it lists on tax forms is wrong, and the charity’s two board members won’t say who controls its $60 million bankroll, a Washington Examiner investigation has found.
Last night, I had the pleasure of attending an event hosted at Bare Bones Bar and Grill in Ellicott City, Maryland. The event was hosted by the “Howard County Republican Women Club”.
The main speaker at the event was Lewis Porter.
I was at a bar recently, near the old Bethlehem Steel Plant near Dundalk. The host heard that I was considering running for Congress so he asked me to speak.
